Situated on the scenic island of Maheshkhali off the Cox’s Bazar coast, Adinath Temple (আদিনাথ মন্দির) is dedicated to Lord Shiva as the Supreme Lord. Accessible via a short boat ride from Cox’s Bazar mainland, the temple rests on Mainak Hill. Historical records indicate the shrine was renovated by local landowners in the 17th century, preserving an ancient natural Swayambhu (self-manifested) Lingam inside the inner sanctum.
